Job Summary


Title: Information Technology Infrastructure Manager
Summary Description: Responsible for planning, designing and managing and all areas of the company network and systems infrastructure. 
Reports To: Director of Information Technology
Status: Exempt
Job Description: 1. Maintains network infrastructure in a highly available and secure state.
2. Maintains and updates all servers, PCs, and printers.
3. Troubleshoots and fixes computer related issues to maintain normal operations of the diagnostic lab.
4. Manages web hosting and e-mail systems.
5. Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, manages assigned projects and oversees the project plan of specific project deliverables.
6. Defines project requirements by identifying and defining project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
7. Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
8. Maintains system protocols by writing, communicating, and updating procedures.
9. Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Minimum Qualifications: Four year IT related degree (Master’s degree preferred).
Three to five years IT related project management experience.
Experience with Active Directory, file sharing and permissions, event logging, performance monitoring and disk administration.
Strong knowledge of and significant past work experience with networking technologies such as DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, IPSec, VLANS, and network monitoring.
Previous experience managing Windows and Linux based servers and applications.
Experience with security administration of firewalls and switches.
Working knowledge of virtualization infrastructure.
Experience administrating an enterprise class SAN.
Must be able to create and maintain clear and easily understandable documentation of both the current and proposed states of systems.

Exercise good judgment when making decisions; seek assistance from others when uncertain.
